People Committee of Bac Giang Province has just give the investment certificate for Wintek Co, ltd. People Committee also has increased the investment capital to $870 million in Quang Chau industrial area. The total capital now is $1.12 billion.

The project lied in Quang Chau industrial area (Bac Giang). It is specialized in producing plates, LCD, LCM. The total investment capital is $1.12 billion.

This event remarked the important milestone, increased the foreign investment capital of Bac Giang to the top of the country in 2012.

Wintek is the high technology development group of Taiwan, specialized in producing the touch screen. This is also one of the manufacturers of Iphone, Ipad. In the time, these products are appreciated as the highest technology of screen.

Thanks to the high quality and standard, Wintek received many contracts in producing touch screen. Wintek is the specific investor with $250 million in capital. After 12 months, the project has spent all of character capital. Step into the 2^nd phase, it has increased to $870 million. The value-added of Vietnam has risen to more than 50%.

According to the Foreign Investment Department, till 20^th, March, 2012, there had 120 projects all over the country with the total capital was $2.26 billion. In the comparison to the same period of last year, it was 77.2%. At the end of March, there had 29 projects with the capital addition was $368 million. It was 30.4% over the last year. The total capital in the 1Q, 2012 was $2.63 billion. It was 63.6% over the last year.

Overall of Bac Giang province has 11 industrial districts. The total area is nearly 1,500 ha. Quang Chau industrial area makes up 500 ha and 80% of it is the property of famous investors such as: Sanyo (or Panasonic), Wintek, Hosiden, etc.

Recently, Bac Giang province has tried to to improve the investment environment, focus on the facilitates. It has prepared about 100 ha in Quang Chau for Wintek to enlarge its scale in the next phases.
