Lack of sugar in August
Now the price of white sugar no 1 is 16,800 – 17,000 VND, higher than the last same period from 200 to 300 VND per kg.
It is predicted that at the end of the crop, the quantity of sugar will reach 70,000 tons and import under the agreement of WTO. It is 70,000 tons. The total quantity of sugar will be 484,000 tons. Thus, it is likely to be lack of sugar in August and September.
